Learn

Hosted by Grace Lim

A monthly potluck at a community center that's served Flushing's immigrant families for thirty years. Bring a dish if you can, or just come hungry. Grace will introduce you to neighbors and explain the center's work over the meal.

The small contribution covers the center's utility costs, which keeps its English classes and elder lunches free for the Flushing community.

What's included

  • A shared community meal
  • An introduction to the center's work
  • Tea and coffee

I've lived nearby for years and never knew this place existed. Now I volunteer here twice a month.

Warm and welcoming. It's loud and busy, which is exactly what a potluck should be.
