A monthly potluck at a community center that's served Flushing's immigrant families for thirty years. Bring a dish if you can, or just come hungry. Grace will introduce you to neighbors and explain the center's work over the meal.
The small contribution covers the center's utility costs, which keeps its English classes and elder lunches free for the Flushing community.What's included

A dish to share if you're able. Label anything with common allergens.
Come ready to talk to people you don't know. The point is to mix, not to sit with who you came with.
The eight-dollar contribution goes to the center's operating fund. No one is turned away if they can't pay, and bringing a dish covers your spot.
