Hosted by Renata Salcedo
We practice in a meadow inside Inwood Hill Park, the only old-growth forest left in Manhattan. The class is slow and breath-led, built for stiff morning bodies rather than advanced poses. You'll get a short read on the park's salt marsh and the trees around us between sequences.
A share of every booking funds free chair-yoga sessions for older neighbors at the Inwood library branch. What's included
- Guided breath-led practice for all levels
- A few spare mats if you forget yours
- Hot tea after class
- Short walk to the salt marsh
Plan
Your own mat or towel, water, and a layer you can take off as the sun rises.
Arrive five minutes early so we can start together at first light. We practice rain or shine unless there's lightning.
Roughly four dollars of each spot goes to the free senior series, which ran 38 sessions last year.

The light through the trees did half the work. Renata kept it gentle and I never felt behind.

Lovely spot. Bring bug spray in warmer weeks, the marsh is right there.

I'm not flexible and this still felt good. Tea after was a nice touch.
