Learn
Hosted by Ji-eun Park
Bring a garment with a hole or a stain and Ji-eun teaches you to mend it so the repair becomes part of the piece. You'll practice running stitch, a simple patch, and a bit of sashiko on scrap before working on your own thing. By the end you'll have a fixed garment and the skills to do the next one at home.
You leave able to repair what you already own, which keeps clothes in use and cuts the churn of fast fashion. What's included
- All needles, thread, and patch fabric
- Scrap cloth to practice on
- Tea and a small snack
- A take-home stitch reference card
Plan
One garment that needs fixing. All thread, needles, and patch fabric are provided.
Arrive on time as the first technique sets up the rest. Reschedule with forty-eight hours notice.
The studio uses leftover and donated fabric for all practice scraps. Ji-eun runs the space cooperatively and pays assisting students for their time.

Ji-eun is patient and exact. My ripped jeans look better than before the tear.

Calm, well-run, and I actually use the stitches at home now. Worth it.
